The "Quick " Blog

Wow! How is it April already??

Our spring came in with snow. I was Not. Happy.

I am done with the cold weather!!

I want some sunny skies, warm breezes, and lazy afternoons.

It's been busy over here. The daughter is getting closer and closer to graduation. She just spent a week away from us, visiting The Mouse in FL with friends. It was her very first plane ride and she came home saying she wanted to be a world traveler! You go, girl!

The boy is just about done with school for the year. Too bad he still has two months to go! It's always rough for him after spring break. He is not a fan of school, even though he gets pretty good grades.

TBG is taking another class trying to finish his degree - almost done! One more year and I think he will be completely finished. He works so hard! He is such a role model for our kids.

Me? I'm hanging in there, helping TBG with his classes. Trying to get everything set for graduation. For vacation. For a grad party. Oh! And you will never believe what I did last week! I took a pole dancing class!! And WOW was that a workout! I hurt for three days afterward.  I thought it would be awkward but it really wasn't. The teacher was very good and it was focused more on "womanhood" and loving yourself. I did learn how to swing myself around the pole, though! Can't wait to show TBG. LOLOL.

I also got a stress relief spanking last Friday. I was getting all worked up over my job. I have been working many late hours and still can't seem to catch up. It is frustrating. TBG agreed with me that I needed something. So, when I gave him a naked hug Friday morning it turned into a spanking! I held him tight while he turned my bottom red. And I loved him all the more for that. It was so connected, with me in his arms. Just what I needed!

I've enjoyed getting to catch up with everyone's blogs today. It was a lot of reading! So lovely to see all the posts. Some came out of hiding and it was fabulous to "see" them! It is late and I must get to bed so I will have to post again soon! Don't want to get in trouble for staying up too late!

It's HIS day

According to my email from a well-known kink store, today is Steak and a BJ day. Did you know? I sure didn't! Apparently it's always March 14th. Go figure.

Well, seeing as I have no steak available to cook tonight it looks like TBG is getting chicken. Hope he doesn't mind!  Since he isn't getting steak should I also also tame down the BJ? Maybe just stop before completion? No, I don't think that would be fair. Instead maybe I should make it even better. Grander. Perhaps I could use a glitter cannon right at that moment!

Hmmmm....that might be a little too much. Plus it would be loud and I'm sure the kids would hear. Not to mention it would be difficult explaining the glitter in my hair to my daughter.  So, that's off the table. I will have to think of something that will make it extra special for him.

How about you? Are you going to celebrate Steak and a BJ day today? TBG does so much for me and the kids that I don't have a problem with this "holiday" of sorts. I find it amusing and he gets a kick out of it. So, happy day to your man or significant other!

Just a busy bee stopping to smell the roses

Oh my! How is it already the second week in March?!? I feel like time is just flying by this year!

I'm so sorry for not posting - it's been slightly hectic on the Homefront and it seems like it's just not going to slow down until September! The beautiful daughter is in her final semester of high school. College has been controlling much of our time between visits, signing up, scholarship essays, dreaming of dorm rooms, and worrying about growing up. How did my little cutie pie become a woman who is excited to vote in her first election? Somewhere I blinked and missed her growing up!

On top of all that there has been vacation planning, college courses for TBG, and trying not to let my sweet little boy grow up as fast as his sister did. But, grow up he does!

However!! I miss my blog friends who drop by! And I heard March is Question month....why, I don't know, but hey, I'm all for you learning a little more about me or TBG.

SO, please...ask away! I would love to answer anything!

Talk to you all soon!

Ella's Meme!

Oh, I do so love Ella's memes! She comes up with some good questions for us, doesn't she?  I thought I would give her winter meme a try.

1.  You have to leave your house because of a disaster. All your loved ones and pets are safe. If you could chose just one item to carry out what would it be?

Hmmm... That's a tough one. I would probably take all my pictures that are throughout the house. There are so many things that are worthwhile to take but the pictures touch my heart the most.  If I could only take one picture it would be the wedding collage my daughter made us.

2.  Tell us about a book or series of books that you loved as a child.

Ah, I did so love my books even back then! I do remember the very first book I loved was Silly Billy. But the books that I really loved to read were the Shannara books by Terry Brooks (fantasy/sci-fi), and the good old Sweet Valley High series! After that I got into Stephen King and Danielle Steele.  Such an eccentric collection, I know, but it was basically anything I could find in my sister's room LOL.

3.  Name one item of clothing you love for your husband to wear.

Mmmmm...basically any long sleeve button down shirt. Especially if he rolls his sleeves back.  Ka-thunk.

4.   Is there a lullaby your mom or dad sang to you that you sang to your child?

I don't ever remember my parents singing to me. I think that's why I made sure to sing to my kids. There was one song I would always sing (from Bye Bye Birdie) that they still love for me to sing to them today.

5.  Tell me about the fanciest restaurant at which you have ever dined.

I went to a nice steak house for a work meeting last year. I had a Wagyu steak and it was fabulous. The hubby and I will have to save up to go there!

6.  Tell us about the phobias you have. Are you afraid of anything else?

Ah, my phobias: the 3 S's.  Snakes, Spiders, and Sharks. I am probably most afraid of snakes and have had nightmares about them. Sharks scare the heck out of me but as I am rarely in the ocean it's less of a fear.  Spiders I really hate but can kill them with just a small amount of screaming and running back and forth.

7.  Is there something old from a family member that you treasure?

I have some old china from both my family and TBG 's family that I really adore.  But, there is one teacup that I just find so beautiful and I love to look at it.

8.   Is there reading material in your bathroom?

Very rarely in my bathroom. That's because I'm usually reading off my kindle and that goes wherever I do.  My husband's bathroom has This Old House magazines.

9.  Tell us about your dearest childhood friend.

I actually have two very close childhood friends. But the one I see and and talk to the most I have known since I was two. We actually did not get along through middle school because I felt she was too worried about boys (I was a tomboy) and what she looked like. However once I moved to the next town over we became very close. We were both each other's bridesmaids and our children call both of us "Aunt." I love her to death!

10.  Is there a household task that belongs to your husband?

I wouldn't say anything actually belongs to him, but he does tend to wash the dishes a lot (I do not, as I make dinner). He also washes his own clothes and sometimes does the boy's clothes, too. There are SO many things which he does that I cannot list them all. That man is a gem!

11.  Have you ever smoked pot? How old were you the first time?  Do you still partake?

I tried pot once in college. I was just turning 21 and pot was more prevalent than alcohol where I was living. I just remember feeling like I was in a bubble and that my heart rate was slowing, and thinking I was going to die. And then I promptly walked outside and passed out in a puddle. Did I mention that I had about 7 shots of vodka before smoking pot?  Yeah. Good choice.

12.  If it is cold what do you wear to bed?

I don't usually wear anything. 😳😱 I hate having stuff on my legs because I feel like I get too wrapped up. If anything I wear a nightie or a tank top.

13.  How old were you when you lost your virginity?

Not old enough. I was 15 and dating a 19 year old. Why my parents let that happen is beyond me.  He basically played on my emotions and talked me into it. It was okay. But nobody has been as good as TBG. Ever.

14.  Think of something you did as a kid about which you were glad your parent never found out.

I was soooo not perfect. That was my older sister. And my older brother was horrible - the true black sheep who purposely got into trouble. So I tried to stay right in between LOL.   I'm glad my parents never found out about the times I cut school and walked to my boyfriends house. And one time I left the house at midnight and didn't get back until 2am when the house was locked up tight - and I had no key! I slept with my boyfriend at another kid's house and then got dropped back home at 8am, right before my mom left for work. I pretended I had been stargazing and got locked out of the house...and then slept outside on the picnic table when I couldn't get back in. Not sure if mom truly believed me, but she never called me on it.

15.  Boob question! Are they too big, too small, or just right?

Well, I would answer too big as they are a tad over a DD and I am only 5 feet tall. Hubby, however, thinks they are perfect. Of course, he's a boob man and frequently tells people he didn't marry me for my long legs. What a comedian.

Ella, thanks so much for that fun meme!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day spent with your loved one(s)!

TBG gave me a beautiful card that somehow expressed so much of what we have been saying to each other lately.    He always gives me what I need.

And isn't that what this is all about?

Thank you, babe, for always giving me what I need. I am so blessed to be moving along in TTWD with you, however slowly but surely we go,

xoxo
